Song of the Day
Mascara and Mud.
Lily wears too much mascara. And plays guitar. And only buys flannel thats already been lived in. And has studded boots and streaks in her hair and that effortlessly cool aura that exudes a flawless taste in music and a killer shoe collection.

Books and Bikes
Cassie rides her bike home from her job at the bookstore, humming "Mrs. Robinson" by Simon and Garfunkel and thinking about the cute boy she met in the historical fiction section. She recommended a book on the Ancient Egypt and spent the next 20 minutes bantering about hieroglyphics and Nefertiti. Before she leaves she sets aside a few books in case he comes back tomorrow.

New.
Back to school. Bittersweet. The bitter part referring to the frigid northern wasteland called Northwestern University's Evanston campus, the sweet part being reunited with multiple loves of my life.
Trying to figure out where I want this blog to go in the new year, I'm hoping to start including more fashion-related posts in addition to keeping up Song of the Day. More style crushes, outfits I long to own, and people I long to be.
So without further ado,
I wish I owned this outfit.
And by this outfit I mean both these outfits which together create the perfect day to night transition.
